Cape Fear Botanical Garden offered different daylillies for sale during a Camellia exhibit a couple of years back.  The daylillies weren’t in bloom so you didn’t know what you were getting.  I was pleasantly surprised.

Old Stone Chimney

While visiting my hometown someone had mentioned the Chimney near the Falls.  What interest could there be in an old chimney?

Even though it was a rainy day in March, curiosity got the best of me and had to check it out.  Some say tourist love this type of historical attraction.

Moved three times from its original location when threatened by development.

Google it sometime, it’s an interesting piece of local history.

Happiness is Flying a Kite

Attending the Fly a Kite a Kite Event to Help Homeless Veterans at Gratwick Waterfront Park back in 2014 I fell in love with this photo I took.  It wasn’t the best but the pure joy on this little boy’s face tells it all.

Yucca in the Morning Sun

Several years back I dug out a baby yucca plant from the field behind my house never realizing it would get this big with spines producing blood if bumped into.  Yes, it’s beautiful but it just might have to go.
